The Treatment

The Rejuvapen treatment is a micro-needling treatment that stimulates the production of collagen in the skin. Since micro-needling enhances the production of collagen the treatment can reverse the signs of sun damage, improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks and hyper-pigmentation. Fine lines and wrinkles can be reduced and an overall healthier appearance of the skin will occur.

Areas to Treat: Medical Microneedling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, legs and face.)

This treatment uses a disposable needle tip, containing 12 microscopic needles that oscillate close to 110 revolutions per second, to create small micro-channels in the skin. The micro-channels stimulate the body’s immune response, and subsequently, the creation of new healthy collagen.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

Recovery Time

1-3 hours: Reddening and possible spot bleeding, pores still open, slightly numb. After the numbness wears off, the skin may feel warm and/or tight and may look sunburned.

Up to 24 hours: Rash, red dots, minor swelling.

1 – 2 days: Rash, red dots, reduced swelling, minor itching, dry/tight sensation.

2 – 3 days: Reduced rash, fading of red dots, dissipated swelling, reduced itching, skin flaking may occur.

3 – 4 days: Potential slight dryness.

4 – 7 days: Full recovery with normalized function.

Have used Accutane within the last 6 months or active acne (3 months with doctors’ approval)
Have open wounds, cuts, or abrasions.
Have had radiation treatments to the skin within the last year or skin cancer.
Have any kind of current skin infection, condition, or herpes simplex in the area to be treated.
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing.
Raised surfaces.
